Temple Farm – Turkeys

This year, our turkeys are coming from none other than Temple Farm. A fellow family business from England, their turkeys are free-range, slow-growing breeds of bronze turkeys.

With increasing prices and the impact of Avian Flu last year, we are thrilled to have found a supplier that provides the high-quality meat at affordable prices that you are used to from Saunderson's.

Temple Farm turkeys are grown to the highest standards on their Essez farmland using only natural foods with no additives. The birds are dry-plucked and then hung like a game bird for seven days to ensure a rich and natural flavour.

Also, they come with the TFTA’s Golden Turkey Quality Guarantee Award. The turkeys are easy to cook, offering an enhanced flavour and succulence that surpasses supermarket birds.

Yew Tree Farm – Geese

Another new supplier is award-winning Yew Tree Farm from whom we get our geese this year.

This family business from Suffolk rears their goslings on straw under heat before allowing them to range freely. Their diet is supplemented with grass, bugs and homegrown cereals before finishing on a more concentrated diet of specialist pellets.

The results are simply delicious: geese full of rich flavour with natural marbling of fat.

PLEASE NOTE: We are taking a £25 deposit for geese orders with the balance being due at delivery/collection.

Gressingham – Ducks

Are you a fan of the traditional roast duck for Christmas? Then you will be pleased to hear that we are supplying the exceptional Gressingham ducks again this year!

The ducks are reared free-to-roam in light, airy barns with access to water for bathing, natural light and fresh air. They have a fresh bedding of straw once per day and continuous feed and fresh water throughout the day.
