Saunderson's has been serving the Edinburgh community since 1958 when John Saunderson, known as Jack, bought the shop. Jack was the grandfather of current shop owner, John Saunderson, who joined and succeeded Jack's son Iain. So for three generations, John Saunderson's has been a high class family butcher.

Staff

Saunderson's currently have 8 staff beside John and his mother. Three of the staff have been with Saunderson's man and boy. Shop Manager, Alan McCormack, has been with the team for 18 years, Mike Shaw is in his 33rd year on the staff and Gordon Sutherland has been on the payroll for 15 years. With over 65 years experience of the trade between us, we look forward to welcoming you in our shop and giving you the best butcher's service in Edinburgh.

Meggetland Bears, associated to Boroughmuir Rugby Club, were formed from the Boroughmuir 3rd XV to enter the Scottish Hydro Electric East League Division 2 at the start of the 2007/08 season.
